Overview
Roundworms are one of the most common intestinal parasites in dogs, especially puppies.
Symptoms
- Pot-bellied appearance
- Vomiting worms (severe cases)
- Diarrhea
- Poor growth
Causes
- Ingestion of eggs from environment
- Mother-to-puppy transmission
Treatment
- Deworming medication
- Repeated treatment cycles
- Environmental cleanup
Prognosis
Excellent with routine treatment.
