Heatstroke occurs when body temperature rises beyond safe limits, causing organ failure and neurological damage.
Symptoms
- Excessive panting
- Bright red gums
- Vomiting
- Collapse
- Seizures
Treatment
- Controlled cooling
- IV fluids
- Oxygen therapy
- ICU monitoring
When to See a Vet

Prevention
- No hot car exposure
- Avoid midday exercise
- Provide shade + water
